Do you deliver Indian food?

As a delivery driver, delivering the UK's favourite food to hungry families, you are probably aware by now that normal car, scooter, van or motorbike insurance doesn't cover you for this kind of work. You've also probably discovered that the correct cover (which is called 'courier' insurance) can be difficult to find, and very expensive; at least if you buy it from the wrong place! This is where we can help you, though.

Why is food delivery insurance more expensive?

You may be used to buying vehicle insurance from price comparison sites, which have made many insurers cut their prices to the bone. Unfortunately insurance for food deliveries isn't included on these sites because premiums vary so much, according to the type of food carried, the kind of vehicle that is used, how wide an area is covered, and many other different factors.

In addition the accident rate for food delivery workers is higher than that of the average motorist, and that is partly due to the fact that they are often in a hurry to deliver their food quickly, whilst it is still at it's best. Chicken tikka massala may be Britain's favourite meal, but a cold one is not so appetising!

OK, so how do we get cheaper insurance?

A number of insurance companies are more keen on insuring food delivery drivers; after all they either run, or work for, small businesses which have other insurance needs as well. You can only buy policies from most of these insurers via specialist brokers however.

Don't brokers charge for arranging insurance?

It's no secret that just about every company that offers insurance, including the price comparison sites, gets a commission from insurance companies for every policy sold. The brokers we deal with are no different. Although some do make a charge for very specialised work it is usual for them to rely on the commission alone, so you can get their expertise in finding the best policies at no extra charge.

How do I get quotes from these brokers?

There are several brokers on the Internet specialising in arranging insurance for people delivering Indian food but most of them only have one or two insurers that they deal with. This means that you have little chance of comparing quotes.

Why are you so different?

We are not brokers ourselves, we are a digital marketing company with a large panel of brokers that we deal with. This can mean more choice of insurer, so more chance of you getting the right policy at the right price.

Once you have filled in our short enquiry form at least one broker from the panel will be selected, based on your answers, and you will receive quotations to compare very quickly.

Do you run an Indian takeaway or restaurant?

There are all kinds of risks you run incuding fire, customers having accidents, allegations of allergic reactions to your food, even business interruption (which has happened a lot recently!)

Why not let the broker panel look at your insurance needs? they may be able to suggest ways of saving money or getting better benefits, perhaps by amalgamating all risks into a single policy.
